About Us

The name KizunaGo comes from the Japanese word “Kizuna” (絆), meaning bond, connection, and the ties between people. Our mission is to connect cultures and make Japanese language learning more accessible for foreigners around the world.

KizunaGo is an educational initiative created by MinnaPortal, focused on helping people learn practical Japanese for everyday life, work, communication, and cultural integration.

We believe learning Japanese goes far beyond grammar. Learning a language also means understanding empathy, respect, coexistence, and the cultural values that make Japanese society unique.

Our instructors are not native Japanese teachers, but foreigners who personally experienced the challenges of adapting to the Japanese language and culture. Because of this, we create content designed to be easier, more practical, and more relatable for international learners.

Through technology, multimedia resources, collaborative learning, and real-life situations, KizunaGo aims to help students improve reading, speaking, listening, and communication skills while building confidence in daily Japanese life.
